American entrepreneur Elon Musk is reportedly not seeking a position in the administration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, yet he wields significant influence in preparations for Trump’s new term, CNN reports, citing sources.
It is noted that Musk has already participated in conversations with several world leaders who called Trump and has voiced support for certain candidates for various positions. The network suggests that Musk might join a committee where he would not be subject to administration rules but would still hold considerable influence and access to key matters.
Sources also indicate that Musk has substantial influence over Trump. The billionaire has been seen at Trump’s Palm Beach resort almost daily since Trump’s election victory last week.
On some evenings, he dined with Trump in the inner courtyard, and on Sunday, he spent time with the family on the golf course. Musk was present in the room during calls from several world leaders to Trump and took part in personnel decisions. Sources describe Trump as “captivated” by Musk.
