Paris to bring in 4,000 police to guard France-Israel match

To ensure security at the France-Israel football match on October 14, Paris will deploy 4,000 police officers and 1,600 stadium staff. This decision follows recent violence against Israeli fans in Amsterdam.

The UEFA Nations League match, which will be attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, has raised security concerns amid heightened tensions. Around 2,500 police officers will be stationed around the Stade de France, with an additional 1,500 in Paris and on public transport. An anti-terror perimeter will be set up around the stadium, and security checks will be intensified significantly.

On November 7, violence broke out in Amsterdam following a match between Ajax and Maccabi, resulting in injuries to Israeli fans. Dutch leaders condemned these attacks as antisemitic.
