Elon Musk called Italy’s court ruling on migrants unacceptable

American entrepreneur Elon Musk, commenting on an Italian court’s decision on social network X, which annulled the detention of seven migrants transferred to Albania, called it “unacceptable.”

This is unacceptable. Do the people of Italy live in a democracy, or are decisions made by an unelected autocracy?, Musk wrote.

The immigration division of the Rome Court had previously annulled the detention of seven migrants transferred to Albania and referred their case to the European Court for clarification on the correct interpretation of directives. The migrants returned to Italy shortly thereafter. In mid-October, the Rome Court similarly ruled against the detention of a first group of migrants in a new temporary residence center in Albania.

Earlier, Musk urged the judges who annulled the detention of the seven migrants transferred to Albania to resign.
