Melania Trump snubs Jill Biden’s White House invite

Melania Trump has decided to skip an invitation to meet with Jill Biden at the White House on Wednesday, and sources say it’s all due to the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago.

The federal investigation into classified documents has left a bitter taste, with one insider telling The New York Post, “She ain’t going.” The source didn’t hold back, adding, “Jill Biden’s husband gave the green light for the FBI to rifle through her personal stuff. The Bidens are disgusting.”

The insider went on to say, “Melania doesn’t need to meet with Jill Biden.” Meanwhile, her husband, President-elect Donald Trump, will meet with President Biden for a traditional post-election chat in the Oval Office, though Melania won’t be joining them.

It’s customary for the outgoing First Lady to host her successor for tea at the White House, a tradition Melania herself experienced when she met with Michelle Obama after Trump’s 2016 election win. However, after Trump’s 2020 loss, he broke with tradition by not inviting the Bidens to the White House, making his own post-election meeting with Biden somewhat of a break from the norm.

Melania has been outspoken about her anger over the FBI raid at their Mar-a-Lago estate, recalling, “I saw unpleasant stuff that nobody wants to see,” adding, “And you get angry because, you know, nobody should be putting up with that kind of stuff.”

The FBI’s investigation, which involved the seizure of confidential documents, was eventually dismissed by a U.S. District Judge in July. Despite this, Melania’s stance on the Bidens and the raid remains clear. The Post has reached out to both the Trump campaign and the White House for comment on her decision to skip the meeting.
