Poland’s presidential office secretary Wojciech Kolarski announced that President Andrzej Duda underwent surgery after an injury that resulted in the loss of the tip of his finger. Kolarski made the statement during an interview on RMF FM.
According to Duda’s spokesperson, the president injured his right hand during “personal time,” not while performing his duties as head of state.
However, Kolarski declined to provide further details about the injury, emphasizing that “it happened during personal time, while doing household chores.”
Back in early October, President Duda was seen in public with a bandage on two fingers of his right hand. In recent days, numerous Polish media outlets noted that his middle finger appeared swollen and shorter than the others. Some publications speculated that the president may have injured himself while working on repairs in his new apartment, as he enjoys doing manual work.
