Britain tests a new cruise missile that can hit moving targets 100 kilometers away

The UK Ministry of Defence has successfully tested a new air-to-ground cruise missile, the SPEAR.

SPEAR is a next-generation missile capable of hitting targets at distances of up to 100 km, according to the Ministry of Defence. The missile is designed to target a range of objectives, including air defence systems, ships, tanks, fortifications, and fast-moving vehicles.

The missile will be deployed by the UK’s F-35B Lightning fighter jets. It operates in all weather conditions and is effective both day and night.

The Royal Air Force confirmed that the missile passed its tests after being launched from a Typhoon fighter jet made by BAE Systems at the Vidsel Test Range in Sweden.
