Majority of Ukrainians support quick end to war through negotiations, poll shows

A recent Gallup poll reveals that most Ukrainians now favor ending the war quickly through negotiations.

The survey, conducted in August and October 2024, shows that an average of 52% of Ukrainians would prefer their country to negotiate a swift end to the conflict.

In contrast, only 38% believe Ukraine should continue fighting until achieving victory. This marks a significant shift from 2022, when 73% supported continuing the fight. The figure dropped to 63% in 2023, and now, for the first time, a majority supports a rapid resolution through peace talks.
