Serbian President: Putin is not bluffing, we are heading towards a catastrophe

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, in response to reports of Russia’s strike on Ukraine with a new type of missile, stated that a catastrophe is approaching and called for a ceasefire.

Commenting on claims that Russia allegedly targeted Ukraine with an intercontinental ballistic missile, Vučić said he has been focused on domestic events and has not closely followed this aspect of the international situation. However, he emphasized that he “knows Putin well” and that Putin is not bluffing.

I know Putin well; he might even be angry with me, but if anyone thinks they can strike at Russian territory with anything they want and expect no response, then either they don’t know him (Putin) or they are insane, Vučić stated.

He reiterated that the world is sliding into a catastrophe. “I know, people, listen to what he (Putin) is telling you. No one is bluffing, and unfortunately, we are entering a catastrophe,” the Serbian president added.

He emphasized that Serbia does not want deaths and seeks a ceasefire.

“Regardless of what Kyiv and Moscow say, I believe that (a ceasefire) is the only good idea, so let everyone attack me for saying this,” he concluded.
