Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and her husband Daniel Holefleisch have announced their divorce after 17 years of marriage.
While in Baku for the COP29 summit, Baerbock caught the attention of journalists by appearing in public without her wedding ring. This sparked rumors, and soon the couple confirmed that they are ending their marriage.
They emphasized that their primary focus now is ensuring the well-being of their two daughters, aged 9 and 13.
Baerbock and Holefleisch began their relationship 20 years ago when both were members of the Green Party. Later, she became one of its leading figures, while he left the party. Despite the divorce, their relationship remains civil, and they continue to co-parent their daughters.
