On Monday morning, November 25, a tragic incident occurred in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
A cargo plane crashed into a two-story residential building at approximately 5:31 AM, leaving one person dead and two others injured. The aircraft had four people on board: two pilots and two crew members. According to the Department of Fire and Rescue Services, one of the pilots was rescued from the wreckage alive, regained consciousness, and was taken to the hospital.
There is currently no information about injuries among the building’s residents. Emergency services are working at the scene, deploying seven fire engines, including airport firefighting equipment.
Preliminary reports indicate that the plane belonged to DHL and was operating a flight from Leipzig, with SWIFT Air as the operator.
