Netanyahu tentatively backs ceasefire with Hezbollah

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly given the nod “in principle” to a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah, as clashes between the Israeli military and the Lebanese militant group continue to rattle the region.

While this marks a potential step toward de-escalation, several unresolved details are keeping the agreement from being finalized, sources told CNN.

Although progress is being made, the deal still hinges on ironing out key sticking points. Netanyahu’s approval isn’t the final word—his cabinet must also greenlight the agreement once all the terms are settled.

“We are moving in the direction towards a deal, but there are still some issues to address,” said Israeli government spokesperson David Mencer, keeping specifics under wraps for now.

Negotiations continue as both sides work to bridge the remaining gaps. Until then, the ceasefire deal remains tentative, awaiting broader consensus and final adjustments.
