In Germany, a truck caused a series of accidents: 26 injured and 50 damaged cars

In the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, police have detained a truck driver responsible for a series of accidents on several highways and interchanges.

The incidents resulted in 26 injuries and damage to 50 vehicles. According to police reports, the 30-year-old driver was arrested near the city of Hagen. His truck, bearing Polish license plates, collided with several vehicles before finally coming to a stop after a crash in the oncoming traffic lane.

Authorities noted that during the arrest, the driver showed signs of possible alcohol or drug use. A medical examination has been ordered to clarify his condition, after which he will be questioned.

Among the injured, eight people sustained serious injuries, including one person in critical condition. Another 18 people suffered minor injuries.

Police emphasized that due to the scale of the accidents and the number of vehicles involved, the number of injured may rise. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
