Elon Musk has made history as the first person ever to amass a fortune exceeding $400 billion, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index.
This milestone was achieved amid a significant deal with SpaceX, where the rocket company and its investors purchased insider shares for $1.25 billion. With a valuation of around $350 billion (SEK 3,843 billion), SpaceX now holds the title of the world’s most valuable private startup.
Thanks to this, Musk’s net worth surged by about $50 billion, pushing him past the $400 billion mark, equivalent to approximately SEK 4,392 billion. Additionally, the recent boost in Tesla’s stock, which has soared by 65% since November, along with Donald Trump’s election win, further contributed to Musk’s wealth.
Since 2022, Musk’s fortune has skyrocketed by $200 billion, playing a role in the total wealth of the world’s 500 richest individuals now surpassing $10 trillion—roughly equal to the combined GDP of Germany, Japan, and Australia in 2023.
