The conflict in Ukraine could end in the coming months, said Keith Kellogg, the future representative of Donald Trump on Ukraine, in an interview with Fox News.
In his view, the resolution of this conflict is possible within several months, and the key factor will be Donald Trump, who will be able to bring peace between Ukraine and Russia. Kellogg expressed confidence that Trump will be the leader to end the war, noting that “the only person who can do this is President Donald Trump.” The Republican adviser emphasized that both sides of the conflict, in his opinion, are already tired of the ongoing violence.
When the program host asked whether Trump could invite the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky, to Washington for negotiations, Kellogg responded affirmatively. He stated that he would not be surprised if Trump took such a step, calling it a possible and bold move.
Kellogg pointed out that such a move would be in line with Trump’s style, as he is known for his unconventional and decisive actions in international politics.
If Trump returns to the White House, he could use his personal charisma and experience to facilitate peace talks, which would be a significant step toward resolving the Ukrainian crisis. However, the prospects for real conflict cessation depend on a variety of political and diplomatic factors, including Russia’s and Ukraine’s reactions to possible proposals, as well as the current situation on the war fronts.
