President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić announced that he has reached an agreement with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to attend the Victory Day Parade in Moscow, scheduled for May 9, 2025.
He made the announcement during an interview on TV Informer.
May 9 is Victory Day over fascism, and Fico and I have already agreed to go to Moscow, Vučić said.
Earlier, on November 19, the Serbian leader stated that, barring unforeseen circumstances, he would accept Moscow’s invitation to participate in the event commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory over Fascism.
Serbia continues to maintain its neutrality toward Russia and has declined to impose sanctions against it. Vučić explained that one of the reasons for this decision is the potential U.S. sanctions against Serbia’s oil company, Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS).
