President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Devin Nunes, the CEO of the Truth Social platform and a former congressman, as Chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board.
According to Trump, Nunes will continue to lead Truth Social while simultaneously serving in his new role at the White House.
Devin Nunes, known as one of Trump’s key allies, previously chaired the House Intelligence Committee. In that role, he criticized the FBI, accusing the agency of conspiring against Trump during the investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Devin will use his experience as former Chairman of the Intelligence Committee and his pivotal role in exposing the ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ hoax to provide me with an independent assessment of the U.S. intelligence community’s performance and integrity, Trump stated.
The Intelligence Advisory Board is a critical White House body that assists the president in evaluating the effectiveness and legality of intelligence agencies’ operations.
