Russia makes gains on multiple fronts as Kyiv reports 214 ongoing battles

Russia is making significant strides across Ukraine, with fierce fighting reported at 214 locations, as Kyiv’s General Staff revealed.

Most clashes are centered around Pokrovsk and Kurakhova in Donbass, where Russian forces have gained substantial ground thanks to large-scale assaults. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky acknowledged the gravity of the situation, emphasizing that things remain dire.

In Pokrovsk, some Ukrainian units are reportedly surrounded, with hundreds of soldiers trapped. Meanwhile, in Russia’s Kursk region, Ukrainian forces have suffered heavy losses, and there are claims of North Korean soldiers being killed in the fighting. Pro-Ukrainian accounts have shared images of what they say are the bodies of North Korean troops, but these reports remain unverified.

Ukrainian forces also claimed responsibility for the destruction of a Russian supply train in the Zaporizhia region. According to reports, the train was stranded after an initial sabotage, then attacked with HIMARS and drones, causing the fuel cars to ignite. This disruption has severely impacted Russian supply lines, leaving a key rail link unusable for some time.
