A bus carrying military personnel was involved in a traffic accident in Estonia on Thursday morning, leaving 11 people injured. The incident occurred around 7:30 AM in the Kadriina parish of Lääne-Viru County.
According to reports, a 62-year-old man was driving a Mercedes-Benz tow truck, attempting to pull a BMW car that had gone off the road back onto the roadway. At that moment, a Scania passenger bus, driven by a 60-year-old man, crashed into the tow truck.
Six of the injured soldiers received first aid on-site, while five others were transported to the emergency department for further health checks.
This accident follows other recent military transport mishaps, including a fatal incident in Poland’s Masovian Voivodeship in late November, where a military truck carrying over 20 soldiers was involved in a crash that resulted in one death. Additionally, in Finland, a truck carrying Defense Forces soldiers was also involved in an accident, injuring 23 people.
