Scholz and the head of the German Interior Ministry were booed during a visit to Magdeburg

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Interior Minister Nancy Faeser were booed during their visit to Magdeburg following the terrorist attack at the Christmas market.

According to media reports, a protest took place during their visit. The crowd whistled and shouted, “Get out!” One woman addressed Scholz directly, saying, “Do something. Does something even worse need to happen?”

The attack on visitors at the market in the German city occurred on the evening of December 20. Five people were killed, and 205 others were injured. Matthias Schuppe, the official spokesperson for the Saxony-Anhalt government, referred to the incident as a terrorist attack.

The suspect, identified as Taleb A., is a refugee. He works in Germany as a medical specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy. According to Berliner Zeitung, he is an anti-Islamist activist from Saudi Arabia.
