Trump is attracting Silicon Valley leaders to his team

President-elect Donald Trump is actively recruiting key representatives of the tech sector into his administration, despite their previous criticism of him.

According to The Hill, during Trump’s first term, Silicon Valley largely supported Democrats. However, the mood has shifted significantly. The same tech leaders who previously opposed Trump are now traveling to his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida for personal meetings and even making million-dollar donations to his inaugural fund, The Hill reports.

Experts believe this rapprochement is driven by the tech sector’s desire to maintain influence and establish a cooperative relationship with the new administration.

Among Trump’s new allies is billionaire Elon Musk, who had previously criticized the former president’s environmental policies but will now head a new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Businessman David Sacks, who supported Hillary Clinton in 2016 but organized fundraising for Trump this time, has also joined the team.
