Over the course of the three-year armed conflict, foreign partners have provided Ukraine with 267 billion euros, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in Germany.
Over the past three years, Ukraine has received around 267 billion euros in aid, which amounts to more than 80 billion euros per year. Of this total, approximately 130 billion euros (49%) were allocated to military assistance, 118 billion euros (44%) to financial support, and 19 billion euros (7%) to humanitarian aid, the institute’s statement says.
It is noted that Europe (including the EU, the UK, Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland) has surpassed the United States in the volume of aid provided: Europeans allocated 70 billion euros for financial and humanitarian assistance and 62 billion euros for military aid, while the US provided 50 billion euros for financial and humanitarian assistance and 64 billion euros for military aid.
According to the institute, aid to Ukraine from Germany, the UK, and the US accounted for less than 0.2% of their GDP, while France, Italy, and Spain allocated about 0.1%.
