The United States aims to reach a ceasefire agreement between Ukraine and Russia by April 20, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
However, the timeline may shift due to significant disagreements between the parties involved in the conflict. The White House has also not yet agreed to limit arms supplies to Ukraine as part of a potential truce.
European officials have expressed concerns that Donald Trump’s pursuit of a diplomatic victory could lead to concessions that weaken Ukraine’s position.
Earlier, Moscow stated that halting Western arms supplies to Ukraine should be a mandatory condition for a ceasefire.
Meanwhile, Trump announced at a White House briefing that Washington, Kyiv, and Moscow have already outlined key provisions of a conflict resolution agreement.
