Legendary French actress Brigitte Bardot appeared on television for the first time in ten years, giving a candid interview to BFMTV.
During the conversation, she expressed deep disappointment with the policies of French President Emmanuel Macron.
He didn’t live up to expectations, Bardot stated, adding that she considers the president a “malicious creature.” According to her, many share this sentiment: There’s a whole battalion of us who are disappointed.
The actress recalled her meeting with Macron at the Élysée Palace in July 2018, after which she was initially pleased. However, she noted that no further communication followed: “I have nothing to say to him.”
The interviewer also mentioned an open letter Bardot wrote to Macron two years ago, in which she fiercely criticized his policies and again referred to him as a “malicious creature.”
Responding to whether that was an exaggeration, Bardot replied, In any case, he’s not useful. And if he’s not useful, then he’s malicious. That’s what words are for.
