Trump seeks face-to-face meeting with Putin: location and date of talks being discussed 

U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed a desire to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in person as soon as possible. This was announced by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with CBS News.

According to Rubio, discussions are currently underway regarding potential locations and dates for the talks.

President Trump believes that direct dialogue with the Russian leader is essential, Rubio emphasized. There is willingness on both sides to hold the meeting.

Earlier, Trump stated that he plans to have a phone call with Putin on Monday, May 19. The Kremlin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, confirmed preparations for the conversation, noting that the call is indeed scheduled, though no further details were provided.
