Trump slams Biden advisors, alleges “treason” and misuse of power amid health concerns

Former President Donald Trump has once again stirred controversy, accusing top aides in President Joe Biden’s administration of “treason at the highest level.” In a fiery Truth Social post on Tuesday, Trump alleged that Biden’s staff took advantage of the president’s cognitive issues to push policies he never truly supported—especially on immigration.

Trump claimed Biden never actually backed open-border policies and instead blamed behind-the-scenes operatives for a surge in illegal immigration, which he says has cost the U.S. “hundreds of billions of dollars.” But the real kicker? Trump suggested these aides hijacked control of the presidential autopen—a mechanical device used to sign documents—to carry out decisions Biden didn’t knowingly authorize.

“The Joe Biden that everyone remembers would never have stood by while drug traffickers, gang members, and unstable individuals streamed across the border unchecked,” Trump wrote. “It wasn’t even his idea… It was the people who knew he was mentally compromised and who hijacked the autopen. That’s treason—plain and simple.”

Trump’s claims come on the heels of alarming news about Biden’s health. The White House recently confirmed the president has been diagnosed with an advanced, aggressive form of prostate cancer, with a Gleason score of 9 and signs it has spread to his bones. Although Trump publicly wished Biden a speedy recovery, he didn’t hold back from raising suspicions about how long the diagnosis was kept under wraps.

“I was shocked the public wasn’t told sooner,” Trump said. “To reach stage nine, that doesn’t happen overnight. How could the White House doctors and Walter Reed not notice it earlier? Either they missed it—or they’re not saying something.”

The autopen, once a largely ignored administrative tool, has now taken center stage in Trump’s critique of the Biden presidency. He has suggested that it may have been used to issue pardons or sign off on major policy decisions without Biden’s full awareness. “Who was really operating the autopen?” Trump asked reporters. “We need answers.”

This growing controversy has caught the attention of House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, who has launched a formal inquiry. The investigation aims to uncover whether Biden’s advisors knowingly concealed his cognitive state from the public and misused executive powers behind his back.

While legal scholars acknowledge that the autopen is a legitimate tool when properly authorized by the president, Trump’s accusations paint a darker picture—one where unelected staffers allegedly ran the country while the commander-in-chief remained in the shadows.

And if Trump’s rhetoric is any indication, he’s not backing down anytime soon. “These thugs tried to wreck our country,” he posted. “But they failed—because I showed up.”
