Jonathan Anderson, the Northern Ireland-born fashion designer, has been appointed as the creative director for both women’s and men’s collections at the prestigious French fashion house Dior.
Earlier this year, in April, Anderson was announced as the artistic director for Dior’s menswear, following his departure from Loewe after over a decade leading the Spanish luxury brand. Now, he becomes the first designer in Dior’s history to oversee both the women’s and men’s lines.
Born in Magherafelt, County Londonderry, Anderson called the new role a “great honour.” Anderson will take over the women’s collection after the recent departure of its artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, who left after nearly ten years. His appointment comes amid a significant reshuffle at several global fashion houses, including Dior, which saw menswear director Kim Jones step down earlier this year.
His first collection for Dior Men, the Summer 2026 line, is scheduled to debut at Paris Fashion Week on June 27.
