According to 9News, Tomasi was caught in crossfire in downtown Los Angeles as police attempted to disperse the crowd. Video of the incident, published on the network’s website, shows the journalist reporting live when she suddenly cries out in pain after being hit in the leg.
The network condemned the incident, emphasizing that journalists are simply doing their job and should not become targets of violence by law enforcement.
