A technical failure overnight disrupted broadcasts across France’s state-owned television channels.
The issue stemmed from a malfunction in the air conditioning system located in the server rooms that house broadcasting equipment for several major channels under the France Télévisions group.
The 24-hour news station France Info was among those affected by the disruption.
“A serious malfunction in the air conditioning system in the server rooms, where the broadcasting equipment for France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, and France Info is located, caused a disruption in the scheduled broadcast around midnight.”
According to the broadcaster, technical teams worked through the night to restore services gradually.
“However, during the incident, part of the production control room equipment for France Info was damaged, and the channel is currently unable to resume live broadcasting,” the group wrote earlier in the morning.
Live transmission on France Info resumed around 10 a.m. after the necessary repairs were completed.
