A large protest unfolded in London as thousands gathered to express solidarity with Palestine and to oppose recent Israeli airstrikes targeting Iran.
Demonstrators marched through the city waving Palestinian flags and voicing slogans including: “Free Palestine,” “No to occupation, Israel is a terrorist state,” “Stop bombing Iran,” and “Hands off Iran.” Tensions briefly escalated as the procession passed a counter-demonstration organized by the pro-Israel group Stop The Hate near Waterloo Bridge, with many participants shouting, “Shame on you!”
Law enforcement is actively monitoring the demonstration. Authorities have reported no disturbances or arrests at this time.
The protest follows an incident on Friday when pro-Palestinian activists breached a UK Royal Air Force base and caused damage to multiple aircraft.
In response, UK Defence Secretary John Gilly ordered a formal investigation and a comprehensive review of security protocols at military installations.
