83-year-old Australian radio host and former rugby coach Alan Jones has been accused of sexually assaulting seven men and a 17-year-old boy.
Jones was arrested at his Sydney home on Monday morning, where police conducted a search and seized electronic devices. He faces 24 charges, including 11 counts of aggravated sexual assault, allegedly committed between 2001 and 2019.
Among the victims are individuals known to Jones and some of his former employees. Others claim they were assaulted during their first encounter with him. Police are urging other potential victims to come forward, assuring that their statements will be taken seriously.
Jones, who has previously denied all allegations, has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on December 18.
