According to a survey by the Median agency for Radiožurnál, a quarter of Czech citizens do not intend to participate in next year’s elections to the Chamber of Deputies.
However, two-thirds of respondents expressed their intention to vote. The most willing voters are optimists expecting improvements in 2025, as well as young people aged 18–29. Among citizens over 60, only 57% plan to vote. Additionally, participation is more common among those with higher education levels.
Key factors influencing voters include election programs (important for 58% of respondents), party leaders (50%), and politicians’ positions on socially resonant issues, such as support for Ukraine or relations with the EU.
For the first time, postal voting will be available, but only for citizens residing abroad. In-person voting will require electronic identity verification.
