Shooting in Montenegro: authorities confirmed the death of 12 people

Twelve people were killed, and four others injured in a shooting in the city of Cetinje, Montenegro.

Prosecutor Andrijana Nastić reported this in an interview with the Vijesti publication. Law enforcement officials examined the crime scenes as well as the location where the suspected shooter, Ako Martinović, committed suicide. According to the prosecutor, the killings occurred in five different locations.

Medical professionals stated that three of the injured are in serious but stable condition, while one patient remains in critical condition. Neurosurgeons operated on the critical patient until the early morning hours. Earlier reports indicated that two children were among the deceased.

In light of this tragedy, Montenegrin authorities announced plans to discuss the possibility of implementing a complete ban on firearm ownership in the country.
