In broad daylight, a 58-year-old woman was nearly the victim of a horrific assault while out jogging in the crime-ridden city of Nantes, France.
The attack occurred at approximately 11 a.m. when a Somali migrant, just 18 years old, suddenly pinned the woman to the ground in a brutal attempt to rape her. However, her quick thinking, fierce resistance, and the timely help from five witnesses were the only things that saved her.
The situation was dire. The woman understood that her attacker intended to force her into performing a sex act. But despite the odds, she struggled fiercely, biting his hand in an attempt to break free. Her cries for help caught the attention of bystanders, and soon five people rushed to her side, managing to restrain the assailant until the police arrived.
Once in custody, the attacker—under the influence of drugs—denied the assault, offering an outrageous excuse. He claimed that he had found the woman lying on the ground and was merely trying to help her by picking her up. Police later confirmed that the man tested positive for drugs, confirming his attempts to fabricate his story. “He tried to cover his tracks as best he could,” a police source revealed. An investigation into attempted rape while under the influence of narcotics is now underway.
This shocking attack is not an isolated incident in Nantes. In 2023, a migrant from Guinea was involved in a series of attempted rapes along the Gesvres River. Other parts of France have also been rocked by similar attacks, with one particularly disturbing case involving a migrant from Cameroon, who, after stabbing one woman and assaulting another, told police he wanted to “slit the throats of White women.”
Migrants in France, particularly those who enter the country illegally, have repeatedly been involved in violent acts against women, often targeting vulnerable victims—elderly individuals who may not have the strength or ability to defend themselves. These attacks have been increasingly brazen, occurring even in broad daylight.
France’s response to such incidents has sparked controversy. Public outrage continues to mount over the growing number of sexual assaults and other violent crimes committed by migrants, many of whom have no legal right to be in the country.
