Donald Trump’s son allowed to run for president

Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of the current U.S. President, has not ruled out the possibility of running for president in the future. Speaking at an event in Qatar, he said he might consider a candidacy someday, as he feels he has a “calling.” This was reported by Reuters.

When asked by the panel moderator whether he would consider “taking the reins” after his father steps away from politics, Trump Jr. responded:

It’s an honor to even be asked that question, and an honor that many people wouldn’t object to the idea. He added, So my answer is — I don’t know, maybe someday. I definitely feel the calling. I’ll always be a strong advocate for these ideas. I believe my father truly changed the Republican Party.

It’s worth noting that on May 4, Donald Trump stated that he would leave the White House at the end of a second term and does not plan to extend his time in office beyond what is constitutionally allowed.
