Ex-White House physician suggests possible prognosis for Joe Biden’s health condition

Former White House physician and current Republican congressman Ronny Jackson has stated that former U.S. President Joe Biden, who has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, may have only 12 to 18 months to live. He shared this estimate in an interview with the Washington Free Beacon, citing opinions from urologists he consulted.

On May 18, The New York Times, referencing Biden’s spokesperson, reported the diagnosis, noting that the condition is considered treatable with effective therapies.

Jackson emphasized that he is not an oncology specialist but expressed hope that the treatment would be successful and that Biden would live for many more years. Nevertheless, he described the disease as “advanced.”

Previously, oncologist Ezekiel Emanuel suggested in an interview with The Washington Post that the cancer may have been developing since the beginning of Biden’s presidential term in 2021. This statement sparked criticism toward the administration, especially in light of a February 2024 medical report from the White House physician which claimed Biden’s health was “normal” and showed no issues with the prostate.

Joe Biden is currently 82 years old. In 2024, he withdrew from the presidential race amid growing concerns about his physical and cognitive health.
