Polish police have intercepted a major drug shipment after uncovering more than 100 kilograms of cocaine concealed inside a truck trailer.
The discovery was made in the city of Wałcz, where officers found 109 kg of the drug hidden among a load that was officially declared as auto parts.
The seizure, aided by the use of a specialized scanner, revealed cocaine with an estimated street value of 40 million zlotys, or approximately $10.6 million.
Two Georgian nationals, aged 22 and 42, were arrested in connection with the case. Following their interrogation, both men were charged with drug smuggling and placed in temporary custody. If convicted, they could each face up to 20 years in prison.
