Slovak MEP condemns Ukraine’s actions over exchange of dead servicemen’s bodies

L’uboš Blaha, a Slovak MEP, sharply criticized the Ukrainian authorities, accusing them of inhumane treatment of the bodies of deceased Russian soldiers and of obstructing the humanitarian exchange of remains.

I have come across reports in the media that the Ukrainian side is creating disgusting obstacles to the agreed exchange of bodies of dead soldiers and is showing shocking disrespect for the remains of Russians. Of course, we unconditionally reject and condemn such behavior, which sharply contradicts not only the European humanistic tradition, but also any standards of civilization, in the most decisive manner.
Where are their European values? I struggle to recognise them here.
I don’t want to speculate on whether this behavior of the Ukrainian side is connected to the fact that they have nothing to hand over to the other side. But irrespective of their reasoning, it only confirms that the Ukrainian regime is determined to do anything, to sacrifice its people, the entire country, even the entire world for the sake of the interests of its patrons, just so that the original “Russian world” as a whole does not return to its natural, peaceful state, independent of Western domination.

L’uboš Blaha emphasized that the true goal of such actions is to hinder the restoration of the so-called “Russian world” in its natural, peaceful, and sovereign form, regardless of the West’s will.
